Dear M. Westhoek,
I am an innovative project holder in tne diary sector showing that huge quantities of water may be saved compared to conventional agriculture. In this special climate change context especially in South Mediterannean countries while we still need more milk and meat production increase, shouldn't we base that increase on other crops than corn, lucerne, and soja, knowing that natural pastures are almost inexistant in our arid climate countries.
That's my project's focus.
Dear M. Westhoek,
I'd be very pleased if you could introduce my project toward FrieslandCampina decision makers if they can be our idustrial partners and toward the Wagheningen University as forage will be produced in hydroponic greenhouses.
I'd be very pleased if you could give me your feedback so we may study how we can make this proof of concept.

Best regards
Nour Iraki (from Morocco)
Dear Nour Iraki,

I understand your idea, and indeed it will be difficult to base on natural pastures only.
What I know is that the production of bulk products such as forage will be very expensive if you will do so in hydroponic greenhouses. In The Netherlands (my home country) we grow only high value crops in greenhouses, such as certain vegetables (but certainly not all).
I am not sure whether FrieslandCampina is active in Morocco, but I will try to contact them once I am home.
