Natalie Ryan
Natalie Ryan is a Programme Manager for the Property Working Group at United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), a global partnership between UNEP and over 160 financial institutions. UNEP FI is a public-private partnership of the UNEP Division of Techonolgy, Industry and Economics (DTIE) and has a goal to advance sustainability in the finance sector.

Following several years working as a lawyer in New Zealand and a paralegal advisor to the British Government, Natalie began working with UNEP FI in August 2005. She is Programme Manager not only for the Property Working Group, but also the Human Rights & Finance Work Stream and a project manager for the African Task Force. In these roles Natalie works to both advance the mainstream integration of environmental, social and governance issues in property investment decision-making, as well as promote and implement responsible investment and sustainable finance in the property sector. In an effort to identify and promote best practice and build business cases, Natalie works with finance sector partners that range from property managers, asset managers and property developers to institutional investors, multinational banks and local African finance institutions.

Natalie has a Masters of International Relations from the Universit d'Auvergne, France and a First Class Honours Bachelor Degree in Law and French & German from the University of Otago, New Zealand, as well as a certificate in Climate Change & Finance from UNEP FI and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).
