Marceil Yeater
Marceil Yeater is Chief of the Legal Affairs and Trade Policy Unit for the Secretariat of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. She joined the CITES Secretariat in 2000, after having worked for nine years with UNEP's chemical and environmental law programmes in Geneva and Nairobi.

Prior to shifting to the international level, she spent almost 10 years as a trial attorney with the Environmental Crimes Section of the US Department of Justice and the Attorney General's Office of the Territory of Guam. She currently deals with issues related to national wildlife trade policy and legislation, support for prosecutors and judges, facilitation of legal trade formalities, national reporting, compliance procedures and cooperation with WTO.
