Abdul-Majeid Haddad
Abdul-Majeid Haddad is the Capacity Building Task Manager in the UNEP Division for the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the GEF Liaison Officer in the Regional Office for West Asia. He has broad experience in multi-scope technical assistance programme formulation, planning and management, especially at the country level.

He assists countries in conducting national capacity self-assessment for the implementation of Multi-lateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs). He is particularly interested in helping countries with the synergetic, coordinated and integrated implementation of the Rio Conventions and developing capacity building strategies and action plans to achieve conventions' goals and objectives. In his capacity as UNEP/GEF coordination officer for West Asia and Northern African countries (Arab Countries), he assists them in identifying, formulating and implementing projects that can be funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
