Sami Dimassi
Sami Dimassi is the ICT Programme Officer in the Division of Environmental Policy Implementation (DEPI) of the United Nations Environment Programme and currently the UNEP Knowledge Management Working Group chairman. In the capacity of his position and his Knowledge Management role, Sami provides technical, strategy and policy advice to UNEP on ICT standards and direction as well as leads the knowledge management efforts within UNEP.

Sami earned his Computer Science degree from Ottawa University and his Masters in Management of Technology from Waterloo University in Canada. He has worked in the private sector in a range of positions, dealing with different aspects, including client service, quality assurance, infrastructure, software design, technical IT and administrative management. Since joining the United Nations family 13 years ago, he specializes in the management of technology, ICT policies and knowledge management systems.
