Yuna Choi
Yuna Choi is the Head of the Communication Team at UNEP National Committee for the Republic of Korea. She joined UNEP NATCOM KOREA in January 2007, and she is based in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

During the first two years at UNEP, she worked as the Programme Coordinator for the Education team. She was in charge of hosting international conferences for the youth in Korea and Northeast Asia, publishing books and magazines. She was in charge as well of the international environmental photo exhibitions and video projections, the promotion of international youth conferences, the university student education projects, and the national children's drawing competition related to the environment.

Currently, Yuna Choi is responsible for promoting a wider awareness of issues related to the environment and the activities of the organization through media outlets, social network services, and campaigns. She has also set up environmental projects such as a rain water treatment, a green design and the construction of solar energy. Her current focus is the development and implementation of the tree-planting program for the protection of forests in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly Northeast Asia.

Yuna Choi is born in Seoul, Republic of Korea, and she has a diverse range of experiences in Korea, Denmark, Costa Rica. She also had taken courses at the UNESCO Chair for Peace Studies at the University of Innsbruck in Austria.

Yuna holds two Master degrees, one in Media, Peace and Conflict Studies from the United Nations mandated University for Peace (UPEACE), Costa Rica, and the other in Communication from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Republic of Korea.
