Mark Bekkering
Mark Bekkering is currently the Manager, Environmental Planning & Support, in the Toronto Environment Office for the City of Toronto.

He is primarily responsible for the development, implementation and management of the City's key environmental strategies and action plans, such as the Climate Change Action Plan adopted unanimously by City Council in July 2007. Mr Bekkering has a Master's degree in geography, twenty-two years of experience working in municipal government, primarily in the area of environmental policy and programs and has worked for the City of Toronto for almost twelve years. In 1996, Mark became a Fellow of the international Leadership in Environment and Development (LEAD) program.
