Ivica Trumbic
Mr. Ivica Trumbic is the Project Manager of UNEP/MAP GEF Strategic Partnership for the Mediterranean Sea Large Marine Ecosystem (MedPartnership). Formerly, he was the Director of the UNEP/MAP's Priority Actions Programme Regional Activity Centre (PAP/RAC). Mr. Trumbic is an architect-planner, which has studied in Slovenia, Netherlands and his native Croatia, with a long planning experience. His international career, which started in 1988, was focused on natural resources management and, specifically, on Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM). It culminated with his pivotal role in development and adoption of the Barcelona Conventions Protocol on ICZM. His fields of expertise range from ICZM, urban and regional planning, project management, environmental management and capacity building. He has published a large number of publications, and is or has been a member of editorial boards of several international scientific journals (Coastal Management, Journal of Coastal Conservation, and International Journal of Sustainable Development Planning).
