Michel Crevecoeur joined the UNEP Finance Initiative in October 2010 and is coordinating the Initiative's African activities. He is managing the relationships with African financial institutions and other stakeholders and is responsible for the promotion and dissemination of UNEP FIs work on the continent. He is currently working on a research project on renewable energy investments in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Michel also leads the Emerging Issues Work Stream which has a current focus on the social implications of investment and lending decisions.
Prior to joining the UNEP Finance Initiative, Michel worked for three years at the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodity desk at ABN AMRO Bank.
Michel studied International Relations at Utrecht University, the Netherlands, and Oxford University, United Kingdom.
