Jon Samseth
Jon Samseth is a professor of physics affiliated with the Norwegian institutions: Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences, SINTEF and NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology). He is the current vice president of SCOPE (Scientific Committee of Problems of the Environment). He has served on the IUPAP (International Union of Pure and Applied Physics) energy working group and is member of the EPS (European Physical Society) energy group.

He has experience in working with media on energy issues. In particular his insight into nuclear energy was welcomed during the Fukushima accident.

During most of career his research has been in nano structured materials related to polymers and liquids.

Prof. Samseth holds a phd in physics from MIT inUSA and is from NTNU in Norway. In addition he holds a Diplome d’ingenieur (Petroleum economics) from École Nationale Supérieure du Pétrole et des Moteurs (E.N.S.P.M.) in France.
