Roberto Borjabad
As Programme Officer in the climate change unit of UNEP's Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), Roberto is responsible for the implementation of UNEP's climate change mitigation component of the Regional Gateway for Technology Transfer and Climate Change Action (REGATTA) and the related UNEP's mitigation project portfolio in the LAC region. Roberto is also responsible for the planning and development of new proposals in climate change mitigation for the region.

Before joining UNEP, Roberto worked for UNDP in the Dominican Republic as National Programme Coordinator overseeing the European Union-UNDP Rural Electrification Programme. Prior to UNDP, Roberto worked for the private sector in the telecommunications industry in various countries in Europe and Africa. Roberto holds a master's degree in Business Administration from Queensland University of Technology, in Australia, and a BSc in Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, in Spain. Roberto is fluent in Spanish and English.
