Andrea Sabelli
Andrea works in UNEP's Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean (ROLAC) as a Climate Change Vulnerability Specialist, based in Panama City. She has been involved in the development and implementation of the adaptation component of UNEP's Regional Gateway for Technology Transfer and Climate Change Action (REGATTA) project in Latin America and the Caribbean. A key component of the project is four climate change vulnerability, impacts and adaptation assessments, spanning across the region. Andrea's key tasks focus on coordinating these assessments, and working closely with the institutions responsible for conducting them, providing them with technical support on methodology, data and indicators used and the presentation and communication of results. Andrea is also providing vulnerability and adaptation knowledge-sharing support by capturing key lessons learned and disseminating these through workshops, publications and the REGATTA website ( .

Before joining UNEP, Andrea worked in Toronto, Canada at an environmental engineering firm in the field of carbon accounting and assisting clients to reduce their carbon footprint. Andrea holds a Master's degree in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of Toronto where she wrote her dissertation on the potential for small-scale farmers to access and benefit from the carbon market in the Peruvian Amazon. Andrea speaks English, Spanish and French.
