Guadalupe Durn
Guadalupe Durn is an Associate Program Officer at the Secretariat of the Scientific and Technical Advisory Panel (STAP) to the Global Environment Facility (GEF). The STAP Secretariat is located in Washington, D.C., and is administered by the Division of the GEF (DGEF) at UNEP. At the Secretariat, Guadalupe helps organize STAP meetings about two a year, as well as organize small technical meetings with experts from STAPs science networks to discuss particular questions to assist the GEF further its understanding of a specific global environment topic. She also assists STAP monitor the scientific and technical quality of GEF projects, and helps keep STAP well-informed of GEF developments.

Prior to joining the STAP Secretariat, Guadalupe worked at the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) in Washington, D.C. Her work focused on providing program assistance on natural resource management and economic growth to the Division Director on Poverty Reduction and Economic Empowerment. Guadalupe also worked as a research assistant with the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) in Honduras. She conducted field research on hillside agriculture to study the impact of policies on sustainable hillside agriculture in Central Honduras.

Guadalupe has a Masters Degree in Development Studies from the University of East Anglia in Norwich, United Kingdom. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Saint Marys College, Notre Dame, Indiana, United States.
