Joelle Mojon is responsible for communication and outreach for UNEP's Climate Neutral Network (CN Net). She took part in establishing the network, cooperating with UNEP’s Internet Unit on the design and layout, as well as liaising with the initial participants of the network.
Prior to her work on the CN Net, Joelle Mojon worked in the Special Events Unit at UNEP. She was responsible for the planning and implementation of events such as World Environment Day, the Champions of the Earth Award and the UNEP Sasakawa Prize.
Joelle was born in Lebanon. She holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from the Sorbonne, in Paris, and a Master’s degree in translation from Saint-Joseph University, in Beirut. She worked for eight years as a journalist for Agence France-Presse (AFP). Based at AFP’s Middle East headquarters, she covered major conflicts in the region (Israeli-Palestinian, Iraq, Sudan, Lebanon) as well as other events, summits and conferences.
