Rody Oate
Rody Oate has worked as UNEP's Information Officer for Latin America and Caribbean since 2000. His activities include implementation of effective media activities, coordination of regional support to UNEP/global/regional programme initiatives and public awareness activities, and provision and coordination of communicational and outreach support to UNEP regional programme activities.

Prior to joining UNEP, Rody worked as: Director of Communications-State University of La Frontera-Temuco, Director of Communications-Green Peace South Pacific (Santiago, Chile), Director of Communications/International Interchange-Educares University (Santiago, Chile), Director-Central American Press Agency for North America (Montreal, Canada).

Rody has a Bachelors degree in Journalism (University of Concepcin, Chile), a Masters degree in Political Science (University of Quebec, Montreal, Canada)

Rody is fluent in Spanish, English and French.
