Maria Eugenia Arreola
Maria Eugenia Arreola is a Programme Officer in the Division of Early Warning and Assessment. She is the team lead for the design and implementation of a web-based platform called MENTOR (Marketplace for ENvironmental Training and On-line Resources) to disseminate appropriate tools, guidelines, methodologies and best practices in data collection, analysis, monitoring, integrated environmental assessment, early warning and observation, information networking, and support online training in the use of these tools and methodologies.

In 2001 she joined UNEP’s Regional Office for Latin American and the Caribbean in Mexico City where she was responsible for designing and implementing UNEP’s Integrated Environmental Assessment Methodology- GEO at a national and city level.

Prior to joining UNEP, Maria Eugenia worked at the Mexico Nature Conservation Fund as manager for sustainable development projects in Mexico.

Maria Eugenia Arreola has a BA in International Relations, a Masters in Environmental Management, and a certificate as Expert of New Learning Technology from Furtwangen University of Applied Sciences.
