Kristin Ebbesen
Kristin Ebbesen is Information & Public Relations Assistant in at the UNEP Regional Office for Europe. She is located in Geneva, and focuses on creating environmental awareness among students through lectures on UNEP activities. She also works to increase environmental awareness for children by organizing local events related to UNEP campaigns involving civil society, such as the Billion Tree Campaign, the International Children's Painting Competition, and World Environment Day.

Kristin also organized an exhibition on World Water Day in 2006 which resulted in the first UNEP "Art for the Environment Award" in Europe. In 2005, she organized an auction sale to collect funds for digging wells. She is also actively involved with the European network of UNEP National Committees.

Before joining UNEP she worked as a language teacher in the framework of professional training provided to corporate business.

Kristin has a French Baccalaureate (literature and three languages), and a degree in Public Relations from George Washington University (USA). She also has a DEUG in English literature from the University of Toulouse (France).
