Roy Brooke
Roy Brooke has diverse experience in creative programme design and management, organizational planning and effectiveness, public policy development and partnership building. He has worked extensively at national and international levels on environment, disaster, health, and international development issues, including environmental emergencies, corporate social responsibility, climate change and disaster preparedness and prevention. He is currently a Humanitarian Affairs Officer in the Joint UNEP/OCHA Environment Unit, a partnership mechanism to mobilize and coordinate the international response to environmental emergencies.

Roys multidisciplinary perspective has been developed through work in academic settings, as a senior political advisor to Canadas former minister of environment, as head of a programme for Environment Canada to increase corporate sustainability leadership, and through service in three separate United Nations organizations.

A Canadian national, Roy holds a Bachelors degree in political science from Queens University in Ontario and a Masters degree in Geography (Environment and Development) from Cambridge University. He speaks English and French. He lives in Switzerland with his wife, Sara.
