Nalini Sharma
Nalini Sharma is Associate Programme Officer in the Division of Early Warning and Assessment. She is the Capacity Development Coordinator on the Integrated Environmental Assessment Training Manual which reflects the analytical approaches and framework of the fourth Global Environmental Outlook (GEO-4) assessment process and is a key tool for organizing training workshops and other capacity development activities on forward looking Integrated Environmental Assessment (IEA) and post-training IEA support at the sub-global level.

She has also during her time in the Division of Early Warning and Assessment been involved in a number of environmental assessments, including the Global Environment Outlook and the International Assessment of Agricultural Science and Technology for Development (IAASTD) among others.

In 1998 she joined UNEPs Division of Environmental Conventions where she was Task Manager of the UNEP/GEF Pilot Biosafety Enabling Activity project.

Nalini Sharma has a BA in Economics and a MSc in Environmental Economics from the University of York.
