Ingunn Lindeman
Ingunn Lindeman is currently working in the secretariat of the UNEP Environment Management Group. The EMG is a UN system-wide coordination body and current issues under consideration includes cooperation towards a climate neutral UN, sustainable procurement, sustainable land use and support to the implementation of the 2010 biodiversity targets. Ingunns work includes cooperation with UN agencies, contact with experts, identification of best methodology and development of common performance indicators.

Prior to joining UNEP, Ingunn worked in the water management section of the Norwegian Pollution Control Authority for six years. Her area of work was pollution prevention actions related to urban waste water discharges. The work included policy development, best practice guidance, control and regulation. In addition, Ingunn was seconded to the Environment Directorate General of the European Commission where she participated in sustainable development and integration issues. She has also worked for Yorkshire Water Services as a process engineer.

Ingunn is an environmental manager and holds a Masters degree in water pollution control technology from Cranfield University in England and a Bachelors degree in environmental management and technology from Heriot-Watt University in Scotland.
