Tony Nnamdi works in UNEP’s Children and Youth Unit of the Division of Communications and Public information (DCPI). He also works closely with the Youth communications unit of UNICEF on engagement of young people on environment-related issues and especially climate change.
Tony helped in developing the social networking platform, Unite for Climate, which seeks to create an enabling environment for building a framework for meaningful engagement of both children and youth. The platform has helped youth around the world form strong networks that have been critical to facilitating decisions at the community level, relating to intergovernmental negotiations.
He believes in technology as the key way for young people to inform, share knowledge and engage on climate change to achieve measurable results.
