Wahida Shah
Wahida joined the UNEP from ICRAF where she worked for the past six years supporting the Director Generals tasks to articulate science-policy linkages for agroforestry research and development, strategic planning and partnerships development. She also acted as coordinator of the Second World Congress of Agroforestry which took place in August 2009.

Previously, Wahida worked with KENGO, the Earth Council, IUCN and Winrock International in the environment and development field in Eastern Africa since 1992. She gained a broad interdisciplinary understanding of the challenges and issues that developing countries face in the context of social, economic, environmental and cultural change.

Wahida has a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo in Canada and a Masters from Cornell University.
