Anisur Rahman
Anisur is an economist with Masters degree in economics from Dhaka University- Bangladesh and a second masters in development economics from Northeastern University - Boston, USA. He has over 27 years of continuous experience in development work.

He started his career in 1983 as a Senior Economist in a consulting firm in Bangladesh involved in World Bank funded agriculture projects. He moved to Papua New Guinea as the Principal Project Economist with the Government of Papua New Guinea before joining UNEP as the Resource Economist for the biodiversity country studies funded by the GEF. At UNEP he was also involved in the pilot phase of 18 biosafety enabling activity projects, also funded by GEF, and initiated in 2000 the first phase of the now successful Great Apes Survival Project.

Anisur has extensive experience in project management. He is married with two children.
