Tom Delrue
Tom Delrue joined UNEP in 2009 as Programme Officer for Environment, Humanitarian Action and Early Recovery. The major focus of his work is to ensure environment is mainstreamed into humanitarian action and early recovery.

Prior to joining UNEP, he worked for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Geneva (Interagency Division for Internal Displace People and the Humanitarian Reform Support Unit) where he functioned as early recovery focal point. Before joining the UN, he worked, amongst others, for the International Committee of the Red Cross, Pax Christi Flanders and as advisor to the Minister President of the Government of Flanders. He also worked as consultant for the Security Management Initiative (Harvard) and ICVA (International Council of Voluntary Agencies). He is also a member of the Cluster Working Group on Early Recovery and the of the Geneva Peace Building Platform Advisory Board.

Tom studied law at the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium) and specialized in International Public Law in Paris.
