Carolina Yazmn López Garca is the UNEP Finance Initiative (http://www.unepfi.org/) Training Coordinator and joined UNEP FI in 2009. She coordinates Training Programme such as: Climate Change: Risks and Opportunities for the Finance Sector Online Course (English), Environmental & Social Risk Analysis (ESRA) Online Course and Presential Workshop (English, Spanish and French), Corporate Eco-efficiency in Financial Institutions (Spanish) Online Course and Energy Efficiency Financing in Buildings (Spanish) Online Course.

Carolina is part Spanish part Chilean. She studied a Masters Degree in Economics at the University of Alicante (Spain) and a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Political and International Sciences at the Universities of Lausanne and Geneva (Switzerland).

During her MAS, she did a six-month internship with UNDP in Geneva. She also did some field research in Chile in order to complete her Masters thesis entitled The social exclusion of indigenous peoples in Chile: challenges for social policies.

She has been a volunteer at the Swiss NGO Enfants du Monde. In Spain, she worked as a volunteer for the Spanish Red Cross, in the International Cooperation Department and was a newsreader in a weekly Radio programme, in Alicante.

Carolina has also been a lecturer at the University of Alicante and at the 7th Forum of the World Alliance of Cities Against Poverty (UNDP) in Rotterdam (The Netherlands).
