Wei Peng
Wei Peng is a Program Officer with UNEP Finance Initiative. She is specifically responsible for UNEP FIs activities in the Asia-Pacific region as well as the Central and Eastern European Region. Her main task is to work with financial institutions in these regions to further implement sustainable finance in their business operations. She is also responsible to build solid partnership and collaboration with related local stakeholders (policy-makers, NGOs, industry associations, academics, etc.), to work collectively and push the sustainability agenda forward, for the local financial sector and capital market.

Previously, Wei worked as a consultant with KPMG in Beijing, in the Transaction Services Department, whose main client base was the Chinese banking sector. Prior to that, Wei served a Chinese IT consulting and solutions company listed on NASDAQ, as their Finance & Investor Relations specialist. This company also mainly services the Chinese banking sector.

Wei earned her degree in International Economics with China Foreign Affairs University affiliated to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with a specialization in international trade.
