Marenglen Gjonaj
Marenglen Gjonaj works with UNEP Finance Initiative and is in-charge for Initiative's work on responsible property investment (RPI). Marenglen's work focuses on the economics of sustainable buildings and financing mechanisms for sustainable built environment.

He coordinates Initiative's Property Working Group which carries out studies on sustainability performance of portfolio investment and advocate the adoption of RPI strategies and approaches to stock selection, assets allocation, and portfolio management processes by property investors and fund managers.

Marenglen also works for UNEP's Green Economy Initiative where he coordinates research work on financing mechanisms and models for sustainable economic sectors.

Prior to joining UNEP, Marenglen worked for UNDP, The World Bank, Council of Europe – Directorate General for Political Affairs and the private sector.

Marenglen holds a B.A. in Economics, a Postgraduate Certificate on Economic Law and Competition in the EU from the University of Turin, and a Master of Advanced Studies from the Faculty of Law of the University of Zurich.
