Zoe Wilkinson
Zoe is seconded by Parks Victoria, Australia (an IUCN Member), to work with IUCN for two years. IUCN is very grateful for this outstanding contribution from Parks Victoria to support IUCN’s work on protected areas.

The IUCN Global Protected Area Programme acts as the secretariat for IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas and is a partner with UNEP - WCMC. The programme's objectives are to assist in the planning of protected areas and their integration into all sectors by providing strategic advice to policy makers; to strengthen capacity and effectiveness of protected area managers through the provision of guidance, tools and information, and as a vehicle for networking; to promote investment in protected areas by persuading public and corporate donors, governments, of their value as well as to co-ordinate the planning and effective implementation of the IUCN World Parks Congress.

Zoe is an environmental manager with over 13 years of natural values management (NVM) experience.

Zoe’s role at IUCN includes supporting key priorities on policy work, liaison with UNEP-WCMC on the World Database on Protected Areas (WDPA) and Protected Planet, initial planning for the 2014 World Parks Congress and supporting the WCPA.
