Robert Kehew is a Human Settlements Advisor in the Urban Environment and Planning Branch of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT). In this capacity he serves as a member of the Technical Support Team for that agency's Cities and Climate Change Initiative, and has supported activities of the joint work programme of the World Bank, UNEP and UN-HABITAT that is addressing this topic. Prior to moving to Nairobi to join UN-HABITAT, Mr. Kehew worked as a Washington, D.C.-based consultant in the areas of public finance, municipal development and urban planning. Previously Mr. Kehew served for two years in Nicaragua as a Resident Advisor for UNDP, and as a local level planner in New Orleans and San Francisco. Mr. Kehew holds a Masters of Public Policy degree from Harvard University and a Bachelors of City Planning degree from the University of Virginia.
