Christian Schlosser
Dr. Christian Schlosser heads the Urban Transport of UN-Habitat, the United Nations Human Settlements Programme. Based in Nairobi/Kenya, the focus of his work is on promoting sustainable urban mobility in developing countries with an emphasis on the needs of the urban poor. Prior to joining UN-Habitat in 2006, Mr. Schlosser served with the German Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development, as research assistant at the University of Delaware/USA and as transit planner for a county government in South Germany. He holds a Ph.D. in Urban Affairs and Public Policy from the University of Delaware and a Diploma in Applied Geography from the University of Bayreuth/Germany.
