Stefan Knights
Stefan Knights is a national of Guyana. He is the holder of a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Guyana and is currently a lawyer in training at prestigious Hugh Wooding Law School, Trinidad and Tobago.

Stefan is serving as the UNEP-TUNZA Youth Advisor for Latin America and the Caribbean. He is very passionate about addressing challenges relating to sustainable development. As a student-at-law, Stefan looks at environmental, social and economic challenges relating to sustainable development from a legal perspective. He has written several articles on issues relating sustainable development, for example, he has written on matters relating to climate change and human rights; water quality and accessibility; and trade.

Stefan was groomed by the Caribbean Youth Environment Network (CYEN) which has been promoting youth development and empowerment, and environmental advocacy in nineteen (19) countries in Latin America and the Caribbean for over twenty (20) years. Through CYEN he has participated in several development processes in the region and around the world. In 2013/14 he served as the Special Envoy to CYEN on Small Island Developing States.
Through his involvement in the UNEP-TUNZA and the CYEN processes, Stefan has become very knowledgeable about, and adept at, addressing challenges to sustainable development through verbal and written advocacy, and grass-root projects at the national and regional levels.
