Martina Otto
Martina Otto is the Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the Climate and Clean Air Coalition, hosted by UNEP.

She has over 20 years of experience in Environmental Policy and Law, with a particular focus on clean energy and sustainable transport. In her 15 years with UNEP, she has served in different functions, as the Head of the Energy Policy Unit, Coordinator of UNEP's work on Bioenergy, Executive Assistant to the Executive Director in UNEPs Headquarters in Nairobi, and prior to this, as a Programme Officer setting up and coordinating UNEPs transport work and two voluntary initiatives with the private sector.

Before joining UNEP, Martina worked on Trade and Environment and Economic Instruments in the Area of Environmental Protection with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the European Commission and the Foundation for International Environmental Law and Development. An environmental lawyer by training (LLM from Universities of Frankfurt/Main, Germany and London and bar exam in Germany), she also worked with a major US law firm on environmental due diligence in the context of mergers and acquisitions.
