Elisabeth Guilbaud-Cox
Elisabeth Guilbaud-Cox is a communications specialist who has had the distinction of working for four different sectors: non-profit, private, governmental and inter-governmental.

She joined UNEPs Regional Office for North America in 2007 with responsibility for enhancing the organizations visibility in the region. In her new role, she is promoting collaboration between UNEP and the Governments of Canada and the United States, and with the private sector and outstanding environmental, academic, and scientific institutions in the region. Before coming to Washington, she led the unit in the Division of Communications and Public Information at UNEPs Headquarters in Nairobi which showcased the organizations work around the world through the coordination of global media and special events.

Prior to joining UNEP, she was Communications Coordinator for the Government of Ontarios Ministry of Housing, and Communications Advisor to the Minister of Municipal Affairs. Prior to that she ran her own communications firm where she served varied clients such as the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and the St Kitts and Nevis Tourism Board. Before that, Ms. Guilbaud-Cox worked with the Canadian Red Cross Society in Vancouver, British Columbia and at their Headquarters in Toronto, Ontario as Assistant Director of Public Relations.

Ms. Guilbaud-Cox speaks four languages and has lived in Canada, the Caribbean, Kenya, Switzerland and the United States.
