The 12th Special Session of UNEP's Governing Council/Global Ministerial Environment Forum (GC/GMEF) will aim to be as
climate neutral and environment friendly as possible. Measures include offsetting of greenhouse gas emissions caused by participants
travel to and stay in Nairobi, a reduction in the number of hard copies of all documents, and communication campaigns. Delivering "green meetings"
is a commitment UNEP made in its Climate Neutral Strategy that ensures that the organization undertakes all its work in more sustainable ways.
