UNEA Gender and Environment Forum

The Gender and Environment Forum will focus on Gender and Environment within the context of the sustainable development goals and will draw links with Section K (Women and Environment) of 1995 Beijing Platform of Action and, thereafter come up with recommendations for post-2015 implementation. The Forum will provide a platform for exchanging and deepening the knowledge base on gender and the environment, with a particular focus on the gender targets for the environment related goals of the SDGs and the gender equality goal.The recommendations will be targeted and clearly formulated for inclusion into Summary of the President of the Assembly.

They will also be handed over to the moderators of the High Level Ministerial sessions   for possible inclusion  in the introductory remarks and integrated in the discussions
