Anna Autio is Legal Officer with the Economics and Trade Branch of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in Geneva, Switzerland. Anna's work focuses on analysis and policy support in the areas of international law, trade, and economic and environmental regulations, including in the context of UN Cluster coordination.
Prior to joining UNEP, Anna worked as an attorney for major international law firms, advising governments and companies on public international law, international economic law, European Union law, human rights, and related judicial proceedings. She also worked as an analyst on emerging markets for a global news agency in the Middle East and Europe.
Anna is an Australian qualified lawyer. She holds a BA/MA from Oxford University, a Juris Doctor from the University of Sydney, a Certificate in Transnational Law from the University of Geneva, and an MA in EU Competition Law from King's College London. Anna is fluent in English, Finnish, French, Italian, and Spanish. She also speaks some Arabic and Swedish.
