From the damage wrought by Hurricane Sandy to the upheaval caused by drought in the Middle East, Years of Living Dangerously combines the blockbuster storytelling styles of top Hollywood movie makers with the reporting expertise of big Hollywood's stars and journalists.
Years of Living Dangerously is a documentary television series which focuses on climate change. The first of nine episodes will run on Showtime Sunday night, but can already be seen on Youtube. James Cameron, Jerry Weintraub and Arnold Schwarzenegger are executive producers of the series. The episodes feature celebrity investigators, who travel to areas around the world and throughout the U.S. affected by global warming to interview experts and ordinary people and view the impacts of climate change. Besides Don Cheadle and Ian Somerhalder, the list of celebrities include Harrison Ford, Matt Damon, Jessica Alba, America Ferrera, Lesley Stahl, Mark Bittman, Olivia Munn and Michael C. Hall. Joseph Romm and Heidi Cullen are the chief science advisors.
