The adverse health effects of lead are well understood. Lead is associated with negative outcomes in children, including impaired cognitive, motor, behavioural, and physical abilities. Providing tailored information to various stakeholders on the health effects of lead paint is a critical element in building advocacy, political will and acceptance of the importance to eliminating lead in paint and addressing legacy issues.
