UNEP’s activities in addressing harmful substances and hazardous wastes (HSHW) cut across multiple divisions and programs. UNEP also hosts the Secretariats of a number of Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs). Major efforts are underway in the following areas and organizational units:
