Contribution to IETC's activitiesIn 2011 and 2012, the work of IETC has been supported by:

  • The Japanese Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and the Ministry of the Environment, Government of Japan.
  • UNEP's Environment Fund, which is itself supported by member states of the United Nations.

  • Counterpart contributions, which are allocated to specific activities:

    • The Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has additionally provided funding for three activities:

      • The project "Converting Waste Plastic Into Fuel", which also receives the help of the Osaka City Sports and Greenery Association, undertaken in the Philippines and Thailand.

      • The project "Converting Waste Agricultural Biomass Into a Resource", undertaken in Cambodia and India.

      • The international expert mission to share knowledge in regard to the management of the debris created by the Tohoku Tsunami.

    • The UNEP - UNESCO joint project "Natural and cultural management of the Iraqi Marshlands" is funded through the contribution of the Ministry of Environment, Land and Sea of Italy.

    • Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM) activities, e-Waste activities and the Global Partnership on Waste Management (GPWM) have been funded through contributions by the following Governments.

      • Korea, through the Korea International Cooperation Agency.

      • The Government of Norway.

      • Sweden, through the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).

      • Germany, through its Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety.

      • France, through the French Ministry of Sustainable Development.
