OUR MANDATE


The International Environmental Technology Centre (IETC) is a branch of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) / Division of Technology, Industry and Economics (DTIE). Its main function is to promote the application of environmentally sound technologies (ESTs) in developing countries and countries in transition. Currently IETC focuses on waste management issues.

International Symposium on Climate Change and Waste in Osaka

Osaka City has established June as "Osaka City Environmental Month" and many environment awareness programmes will be held in Osaka City. As part of World Environment Day in collaboration with UNEP IETC, Osaka City will hold an International Symposium on Climate Change and Waste on June 5, 2014.
