	Subscribing to INFOTERRA Listserver

The United Nations Environment Programme's Infoterra subscription list is a public list intended for exchanging information on environmental topics; posing queries to the
Infoterra network; requesting information from UNEP; and raising environmental awareness in general.

Subscription to this list is open. In addition to posing queries, subscribers are encouraged to respond to queries as well, since this list will ultimately be comprised of both sources and users of environmental information on a global basis. Subscribers may also post announcements of new publications, gophers, lists, information services, etc.,
and upcoming meetings, seminars, training courses, etc., which are of general environmental interest. Contributions from UNEP partners in the UN Common System,
IGO/NGO community and governmental sector are particularly welcome.

COMMERCIAL ADVERTISEMENTS MUST NOT BE SENT TO THE INFOTERRA LIST!

How to subscribe to the list:

1.Send an e-mail to majordomo@cedar.at
2.Subject line does not matter
3.Type the following command on the first line of your mail:
          subscribe infoterra your@email.address
           example: subscribe infoterra fingwe@aol.com

How to post a message to the list:

To post a message to the entire Infoterra list, send your mail to infoterra@cedar.at

IMPORTANT!

Do not send commands or messages concerning your subscription to the list address!

Commands should be sent to:
majordomo@cedar.at

Messages should be sent to the listowner:
alex.hoebart@cedar.at

Please note that the list should not be used to air grievances against other subscribers and all participants should adhere to proper "netiquette" (network etiquette).

3.Type the following command on the first line of your mail:
                 unsubscribe infoterra your@email.address
                 example: unsubscribe infoterra fingwe@aol.com

The list will be moderated by several UNEP IINFOTERRA/PAC staff members. The moderators and list owner encourage positive exchange of environmentally relevant
information.

NOTE:

If you want to limit the daily number of mails received from the INFOTERRA list, you must unsubscribe from the INFOTERRA list and subscribe to the
INFOTERRA-DIGEST list. This list will deliver a compilation of several posts to the INFOTERRA list less frequently based on size (800 lines) or time limits (24 hours). Note
that if you wish to post a message, you still have to post it to the INFOTERRA list.
