The Special Sessions of the GC meetings – the 3-day Global Ministerial Environment Forum (GMEF) - are forums for policy discussion and as such provide an opportunity for contribution by civil society. The aim of GMEF is to provide an open forum where Ministers can exchange policy views on the environment, in search of a common understanding. The agenda normally follows world environmental policy discussion issues.
