General Assembly Holds Thematic Debate on Integrating Disaster Risk 
Reduction into Development Agendas



On 12 April, the General Assembly held an informal thematic debate on the issue of disaster risk reduction, which included a panel discussion on “Increasing resilience to disasters through climate adaptation and risk reduction” — which featured several panellists, including Ibrahim Thiaw, Director of UNEP’s Division of Environmental Policy Implementation.
