Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Montreal Protocol

This year, the world is celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, which is widely recognized as one of the world’s most successful multilateral environmental agreements.

On 16 September 2012, nations will celebrate the achievements that have resulted from the Protocol over the past 25 years. Communities and their leaders will gather together for the occasion, to remember successes, and also to look towards the future.

This webinar aims to present to the Parties, National Ozone Units, the industry, media and other national key stakeholders the global and regional activities being organized to celebrate the event, and the available and upcoming materials that can be used by countries as they celebrate the occasion.

A highlight of the webinar is a discussion of the film will be produced which aims at capturing the worldwide celebration, reviewing the Protocol’s achievements and finally, considering the challenges the future holds.
