An alliance of companies - The Coca Cola Company, Mc Donald’s Corporation, and Unilever - that is promoting a shift in point-of-sale cooling technology in the food and drink, food service and retail sectors towards alternative refrigeration technology that protects the Earth's climate and ozone layer. This partnership is supported by both UNEP and Greenpeace.
Refrigerants, Naturally! is recognized as a "Partnership for Sustainable
Development" by the UN Commission on Sustainable Development as a voluntary, multi-stakeholder initiative that contributes to the implementation of Agenda 21.
US EPA awarded the companies with its Climate Protection Award 2005 in recognition for their leadership in developing innovative ways to combat global warming by promoting the development of environmentally friendly refrigeration technology.
