Twelveth Meeting of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol:

The 12^th MOP will be held in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso from 11^th to 14^th December 2000.
The meeting will start at 10.00 am on the 11^th December 2000.

On Site Registration:

The registration of delegates starts at 9.00 am on 11^th December, 2000 at the Venue of the Meeting.

The meeting will take place at: International Conference Centre "Ouaga 2000"

All official pre-session meeting documents will be mailed to Parties to the Protocol, and others who are in the mailing list of the Ozone Secretariat.

Visa:

Travellers who are not citizens of the West African Economic Community (ECOWAS) must have a visa to enter Burkina Faso. This visa can be obtained in Burkina Faso Embassies and consulates abroad. In the countries where Burkina Faso has not got a diplomatic representation, travellers can obtain their visa from the Embassy of France. Finally you can get your visa at the International airport of Ouagadougou.

Health:

International certificate of vaccination against yellow fever is required. You are advised to be also vaccinated against cholera. Protect yourself against malaria by taking quinin before, during and after your stay in Burkina Faso.

Currency and Change:

Burkina Faso is a member of the West African Economic and Monetary Community (UEMOA). The currency is the CIF Franc, 1FF=100F CFA. Change offices can be found in banks and main hotels.

Please note that the hotels levy 300 - 375 cfa per night for tourism tax and 1500- 2000 cfa per person for development tax (one off charge).
