Adjustments to Montreal Protocol

The Montreal Protocol was adjusted to accelerate the phase out schedules of substances that deplete the ozone layer on the basis of periodic scientific and technological assessments. Hence, adjustments to the Protocol were introduced in London in 1990, Copenhagen in 1992, Vienna in 1995, Montreal in 1997, and Beijing in 1999.

Montreal Adjustment

Further Tightened Controls on Annex E.

Bejing Adjustment

Revised Allowances for meeting the Basic Domestic Needs of Article 5 Parties.
