5.1 Institutional Arrangements

NEMA has to contract the quantification of the soil quality parameters to institutions with efficient laboratories and appropriate man-power.

These Institutions are:

 National Agricultural Research Organisation, (Kawanda);
 Makerere University (Soil Science Dept. - FAF);
 Makerere University (Chemistry Dept. - Pesticides);
 Laboratory of the Government Chemist - Pesticides); and,
 National Bureau of Standards - Consumer Products Standards.
