7.1.1 Objective

To protect and preserve the quality of fresh water and protect plants from pollutants translocated through soil.

7.1.2 Strategies

 To ensure management beyond the waste producers premises covering both the public and private sectors.
 To coordinate the operations of the waste producers, waste disposal contractors, and waste disposal
authorities and to introduce professionalism into these activities.
 To ensure use of adequate technology to achieve the
correct performance.
